Album Review - Worwyk - Malignant

MalignantWorwyk's album is a heavy, and melodic band that has a very unique sound.  Comparing their music to anyone else is somewhat of a challenge, but I'd have to say they have a Killswitch Engage meets Queensryche kind of sound about them (a unique blend I know.)  Their music sounds new, but often takes me back to the comfort of older metal, and I'm perfectly fine with that.

I really like End of Days's familiarity with the old skool sound, the Circle of Trust's pano's, and The Mind's explosive opening.

Album Review - "Aliases - Safer Than Reality"

“Aliases”. Searing riff’s, gnarly drum rolls, and screaming blow your brains out vocal’s is jam packed in this album. The guitar part’s definitely have a “Buckethead” flavor, the drums are just like Slipknot’s rhythm, and the vocal’s is a mixture of “Slipknot” and “Disturbed”. “Aliases” album “Safer Than Reality” is getting a lot of attention as of late, so make sure you purchase the album with the amazon.com or Itunes.com link’s below while it’s still cheap!
A little bit about the band, genre is experimental/metal/progressive/kick
your ass (I threw that in there). The band members are, Graham “Pin”
on guitar, Leah Woodward on guitar, Darren Pugh on drums, Joe Heaton
on Bass and Jay Berast on vocals. Check out the track’s with the Amazon cloud player below.

My top list for Aliases: “Safer Than Reality”

“Whats left for us”-
awesome guitar parts and vocals, the rhythms in the song are intense as
hell, Loved it from start to
finish.

“All That Glitters Gold”-
Gotta love Metal-Tech! And that defines this track to a T! Buckethead
type guitar riff’s abound in this track!

“Refraction”-
The intermission track of the album, focuses on beautiful guitar playing mixed
hard and soft metal working as one.

Album Review: Avian Sunrise-Silence In The Sound

Welcome back to MelodyHunt.com, the place your mom wishes you visited more.

This week has been a stressful one, so there are two good ways to handle stress with music. Either go hardcore and scream and fight your emotions or sit back and relax to a calming band and get it all off your chest. I chose the latter. Avian Sunrise is a band that has a very good vibe that generates a good stress relieving feeling whenever you listen to them. Their album, Silence In The Sound strikes you in the ear with great vocals, catchy lyrics, and soft instrumentals. Give them a listen below. They remind me of a mix of Owl City, Daphne Loves Derby, and they are similar to the band I reviewed last week, Take Cover.

How Love Works is a great song that tries to capture the feelings behind love and relationships. The lyrics tell a great story and paint a picture in your head that makes you feel exactly what he wants you to feel. Doesn't have much in the terms of instruments in it, but that only helps drive the point home.

Other good songs on the album include Your Side Of The Wall, Sweet Release, and Go. All of them have simple yet creative melodies that will pull you in with lyrical content that makes you constantly think about the story. Avian Sunrise is definitely a good band to listen to when your upset or just want to have a good calming feeling take over your emotions.

All in all, Avian Sunrise deserves a good listen to by everyone that enjoys music as much as we do here at MelodyHunt. Support them with the links below, and leave me some feedback on what you thought in the comment box below.
