Album Review - Phil X And The Drills- We Bring The Rock N Roll

Thanks for returning to Melodyhunt!  My review this week is on “Phil X AND THE DRILLS”. There first album was released in 2009 titled “The Drills-Kick Your Ass in 17 Minutes” which I loved.  There new release debuted on August 2nd 2011 titled “We Bring The Rock N Roll”. I plesantly stumbled across “Phil X And The Drills” about 6 months ago, totally by accident while searching for Led Zeppelin on You Tube. “Phil X And The Drills” was formed in Los Angeles,California in 2003, and their genre is alternative/pop punk/rock. Their sound definitely has a Foo Fighters, and Stone Temple Pilots kind of vibe.  Check out the media player below for a preview of their music.

“We Bring The Rock N Roll”- This is the first track on the album and this is what I like to call the "juice track." The song seeps all of the flavors that “Phil X And The Drills” are known for and gets you prepared for the in-your-face rock explosion that is to come.
“Helicopter”- My personal favorite.  This song has tons of energy and agreat rhythm plus awesome vocals that will keep the Foo Fighters fans in their comfort zone.

“The sound definitely has a Foo Fighters/Stone Temple Pilots kind of vibe.”

“Live on the moon”- This track is just fun to listen to from beginning to end. It  has a great rhythm and fun throughout. Let's face it, who has not thought about living on the moon at least once?
