Album Review: We, Who Overcome-Memoirs

The First Annual Contest Week At MelodyHunt.com

This week I am reviewing an up and coming metal band that will amaze you. We, Who Overcome redefines the term "fan loyalty" and will leave you wanting more with every time you listen to their music. Their first EP, Memoirs is a short one but it's a window to the greatness that this band has in store for them in the future. With heavy metal rifts, catchy drums, a deep scream, great vocals, and lyrics that were inspired by the fans themselves, We, Who Overcome has everything you can want out of a good metal band in this day and age. In comparison I would put their sound along greats such as Five Finger Death Punch and Killswitch Engage.

Of the songs on the EP my favorite falls to When The Mirror Reflects No More. I love the way it opens up soft yet you know there is something amazing in store in the future. It makes you wait in anticipation and you get excited for the curtain to drop and the band to unleash fury. The same feeling comes along with Rough Seas Make Better Sailors. This one opens up with a melodic slow entrance that reminds me of how Metallica used to start their songs.

I could go on and on about the greatness that this band has, but I want you to check it out for yourselves. Memoirs will be up on iTunes by the end of the week, but until then I have a copy to give away for free. All you have to do is head over to facebook with the link below, like our page, and comment on the post there to enter. One lucky follower will win a free copy of We, Who Overcome-Memoirs. The winner will be announced on Friday. Be sure to keep checking iTunes for the EP to drop to support We, Who Overcome and their hard work and dedication. As soon as it is up I will be posting a link to purchase the full album. Good luck to the contest entrees.
